BOB FILM IS THE PORCH DOCTOR - The story of The Porch Doctor and his love for carpentry started when Bob Film was about seven years old.  At that time and through his teenage years, Bob helped his father build houses and camps for the family.  Back then everything was done by hand with hard work, which is something he still prides himself on today.  As a young adult, Bob worked as a carpenter with various construction companies and learned to operate all kinds of woodworking equipment.  Bob's ambition for carpentry really took off when he decided to build a Colonial house for himself on Bunker Hill Road in Nassau.  To say the least, this was no ordinary building project.  Bob built the house on land that's been in the family for nearly 90 years.  For many years, he poured his heart and soul into building the house on nights and weekends while working a full-time job.  The quality of putting his heart into a job is one which Bob still has today.  He did concrete work, framing, doors and windows, roofing, siding, insulating, sheetrocking, painting, custom moldings, hardwood floor, masonry, and landscaping at his home.  Bob also worked at a national company for 14 years as a lead carpenter installing sunrooms on new and existing decks and porches.  That company had financial problems due to the economy, and Bob lost his job.  He used the job loss as an opportunity to start his own carpentry business, which he aspired to do for a long time.  Bob will treat you with respect, honesty, and fair prices.  The Porch Doctor works with the homeowner to get the desired result and will give you quality work like you've never seen before!!  You can reach him at 518-766-0335 to let him know what your project needs are.
